Starpay: In Keeping The Books

When growing companies require outside management of their complex accounting demands, Angela Clementi of Starpay is happy to supply assistance. Starpay offers customized payroll and human resources services to a range of businesses.

“We meet out clients’ goals by using an effective mix of cutting edge technology and good old-fashioned personal service, at a competitive price,” Clementi said.

Founded in 2013 by a team with more than 75 years of related experience, Starpay specializes in small- to medium-sized businesses of all types with mid-size companies being their “niche” market. Among the services provided are payroll; tax filing (including local, state, and federal);workers’ compensation, annuities and background checks.

“We are a one-stop shop for busy companies who need to focus on their business, not their bookkeeping,” said Clementi. “That’s our job as a trusted partner’.

A veteran with 25 years in the industry, Clementi has been on board with Starpay since February. In her role as client implementation manager, she personally handles client onboarding and managing staff.

“When you sign up with Starpay, you are given an assigned customer service liaison to guide you through the process and answer any questions that arise along the way,” she said. “I think this makes us fairly unique”.

Starpay markets itself via accounting firms which often refer their clients to them. They are also engaged in various networking groups, including the Plainview-Old Bethpage Chamber of Commerce, of which Clementi is a relatively new member.

“I have already received quality referrals from this great group,” she said. “And there’s no pressure here, the networking is done in a relaxed environment”.

This busy mother of three keeps physically fit by going to the gym and mentally fit by stealing away to read a good book whenever she can.
